We’re excited to be expanding our UK business, Vintage Cash Cow, into Europe, and we’re currently setting up our European sister company, Arcavindi, just outside of Arnhem. This new venture will serve as the heart of our operations for the Netherlands, Germany, and France, helping us grow as we scale. As we build our dynamic, customer-centric business, we’re looking for a passionate Watches Specialist to join our team. You’ll be immersed in the world of timepieces, working with a variety of watches and developing your expertise in a hands-on role.

About the team:

At Arcavindi, the Watches Team is a collective repository of knowledge, with a comprehensive understanding of all products, from classic timepieces to intricate modern designs. This team is dedicated to efficiently organizing, sorting, testing, and listing hundreds of watches every week. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to contribute your own insights while learning from the wealth of knowledge that exists within the team, helping us provide exceptional service to our customers across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Efficiently Process and Categorize Timepieces  Stock: Unpack, test, and categorize a wide variety of vintage and second-hand  wristwatches, pocketwatches & clocks

  • Test Equipment: Conduct thorough function testing on watches to check their condition.

  • List Items for Sale: Use online platforms (such as eBay) to list items for sale, ensuring the listings are accurate and complete.

  • Maximize Listings: Ensure a high volume of listings while maintaining a minimal stock backlog.

  • Support the Watch Team: Collaborate with the team to meet set KPIs, ensuring targets are achieved.

  • Organize and Clean the Department: Assist in keeping the department organized, clean, and efficient, contributing to a positive and productive environment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Passion for Timepieces: A genuine love for watches, with a keen eye for spotting valuable and unique items.

  • Authenticity Expertise: Ability to skillfully evaluate and distinguish genuine articles from imitations, safeguarding the authenticity of all timepieces.

  • Adaptability and Flexibility: A forward-thinking attitude, able to embrace the dynamic nature of our ever-evolving inventory and continuously learn and adapt to new market trends and insights.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a meticulous approach to cataloging, sorting, and listing timepieces.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Comfortable working closely with the appraisals and sales teams to ensure smooth processes and accurate product listings.

  • Sales Platform Familiarity: Experience working with various online platforms (e.g., eBay, other marketplace sites) is highly desirable.
