About the Team and Business:

We’re excited to launch our UK business, Vintage Cash Cow, in Europe, and we’re currently setting up our European sister company, Arcavindi, out of a fantastic space just outside of Arnhem, in order to accommodate all business operations and our ever growing team. This warehouse will fulfill orders for the Netherlands, Germany, and France and we’re looking for experienced Facilities Manager to build and support this growth!At Arcavindi, our facilities are critical to supporting the smooth running of our operations. As we continue to expand our European operations from our base in Arnhem, we’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to ensure our facilities are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all operational standards. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day management of our warehouse, inventory, and safety processes, ensuring the operational environment supports business growth and team success.

About the Role:

As Facilities Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our facility in Arnhem, ensuring that inventory, shipping, goods receiving, and overall operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, managing the facility’s technical systems, and driving continuous improvements in processes.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll need to be adaptable, able to manage unexpected disruptions and keep operations running on time. You’ll also play a key role in managing relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are clearly communicated and met.

Key Goals and Objectives:

  • Ensure the efficient management of inventory, shipping, and the goods receiving process to support daily operations
  • Plan, organise, and coordinate your role’s daily operations while maintaining flexibility to respond to any unexpected issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe and clean working environment for all team members
  • Maintain high operational standards and provide effective troubleshooting when issues arise
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the facility, including inventory management, shipping, and goods receiving
  • Ensure accurate inventory counts and take ownership over discrepancies, resolving them in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct safety inspections regularly and maintain an accident register, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring expectations are clearly conveyed and met
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies in operations and plan and implement improvements to drive productivity and operational excellence
  • Manage technical systems, such as barcode scanning, alarm systems, and CCTV, ensuring their functionality and troubleshooting any issues as needed
  • Respond to faults, disruptions, and challenges in a timely and effective manner, ensuring minimal impact on operations
  • Plan and coordinate around unexpected events or delays, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards
  • Be the first point of contact for external shareholders, customers, and internal staff, maintaining professionalism and approachability at all times
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients to ensure effective collaboration and success

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a warehouse or similar operational environment
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accurate inventory management and resolve discrepancies quickly
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance and safety standards, with a strong track record in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey expectations clearly to internal and external parties
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Familiarity with warehouse technologies, such as barcode scanning systems
  • Familiarity with technical systems, including alarm systems and CCTV
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to plan and adapt to unexpected disruptions
  • A personable and approachable nature, able to build rapport with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and ensure operational efficiency


Desirable Skills and Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with regional operations within retail or logistics industries
  • Technical background in managing facility-related technologies or systems
  • Prior experience in managing facilities for a growing or scale-up business
  • Knowledge of operational processes in a high-performance environment
